Fortune Fencing drove down from Monrovia to Anaheim on Sunday, November 1, 2026, for the LAIFC OC Rising Stars Epee #9, a local youth event at LAIFC – OC.

Alston Yang finished 5th of 13 in Y-10 Mixed Epee, winning three of his four pool bouts.

Later that afternoon, Alston also took on the older Y-12 Mixed Epee field and finished 10th of 18.

Local events like this are where our youngest fencers build experience, and it all starts in our Monrovia training room, where families from Arcadia, Pasadena, Duarte, Sierra Madre, and Azusa train together.

Next up, Fortune heads to the 3rd Annual BBFC RYC and Y8 in Las Vegas on November 7 and 8, then the November NAC in Columbus, Ohio, November 20 to 23.
