SUMMARY:Meet Coach Chris: A Seminar on Fortune’s New Conditioning Class
DESCRIPTION:\nFortune Fencing is adding a conditioning class, and Coach Chris is coming in to explain what it is and why it matters for young epee fencers. Parents are very welcome to come, listen, and ask questions.\n\n\n\nWhen: Saturday, November 7, 2026\n\n\n\n\n11:00 AM for the Intermediate class\n\n\n\n12:30 PM for the Competitive class\n\n\n\n\nWhere: Fortune Fencing, 139 W Maple Ave, Monrovia\n\n\n\nWhy it matters: as our article The Importance of Resistance Training for Fencing ( https://fortunefencing.com/resistance-training-for-fencing/ ) explains, fencing is built on explosive movements like lunges and recoveries. Stronger legs and core improve push-off power and quick reactions, stronger muscles help protect the knees, wrists and shoulders, and better endurance helps fencers stay sharp through long tournament days.\n\n\n\nWhat Chris will cover:\n\n\n\n\nThe role of conditioning in fencing\n\n\n\nResistance training and explosiveness\n\n\n\nHow the new class will work\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Coach Chris: Coach Chris, Personal Trainer, Los Angeles (@gainsbygibbs). Read his full bio on our Coaches page ( https://fortunefencing.com/fencing-coaches/ ).\n\n\n\nFamilies from Monrovia, Arcadia, Pasadena, Duarte and Sierra Madre are all welcome. See you Saturday!\n
